Katy Katy

what have you done?
Iv searched the cellar and
only found one

It followed me up
It did it did!
and when I saw the light
I'm sure it hid.

Katy Katy
you said I had two
but I only  have one
I don't believe you

It was stuck to my feet
as I climbed up the ladder
Oh mercy me!
Iv only one shadow
Pick up a poem!

Six Tall Birds

Six Tall birds
Sitting on a rock,
talking utter nonsense,
eating an ice cream block.

One bird said to another,
is this strawberry or vanilla?
another bird replied don't be silly,
its raspberry with Polly filler.

They talked and talked,
all through the day,
until it started to rain,
they put up their umbrellas,
and were all washed down the drain.
Many more to follow!
    Tears.

Too many tears are shed
In this world today
Children are abandoned
As if they are in the way,

Old people are just ignored
They feel they have lost their worth
Just wishing they could fade away
From this planet, that’s called earth.

Many a homeless man
Stands begging on the street
Forced through hunger and cold
To ask each one he meets.

Wars rage in different lands
Killing all in sight
They never see the sunshine
Or the warmth of human respite.

Let’s think of them today
And do what ever we can
After all aren’t we of the same blood
Like ALL our fellow man?

The wish.

I saw a star fall from the sky
I closed my eyes to wish
the moment of quiet eyes shut tight
A time not to be missed.

I wished for peace and happiness
For all who walk this earth?
For hungry tummies to be full
Children to laugh with mirth.

The pain to stop for prisoners
Locked in a foreign land
But most of all, I wished that humans
Could love and understand

Deep in the dark of night, and angel came to him
Whispered into Michaels ear,
“It’s time for you to come”

The angel took him by the hand
And walked the stairway up
Michael’s pain just faded with every step he took

He gazed upon heaven’s wonders
And smiled to all in sight
He walked towards the pearly gates
And moon-walked in with a glide
,

He turned and sang so sweet and said,

I’m so happy I’ve arrived...
